From 1 January 2027, new base packages cost £31.24/month or £337.36 upfront for 12 months — a 25% increase, rounded to the nearest penny. Additional engineers remain £9.99/month or £107.89/year each.

Good questions.
What is needed before creating a certificate?
Complete the questions, review and confirm every answer, then record the customer acknowledgement if available. The engineer must sign last before a certificate or PDF can be created. Use the current standards, stay within your competence and check all recorded details. Essential work records do not replace required manufacturer or scheme documentation.
Can I add more than one engineer?
Yes. Up to 2 engineers are included; each additional engineer costs £9.99/month. Save each engineer’s relevant licence details, then select the engineer for each job to include their information in the certificate. Account access and team invitations are managed separately by the company owner.
Is the tightness calculator a separate tool?
Yes. The IGEM/UP/1B Calculator has its own dedicated entry point. Your free email account lets you save calculation results and reopen them later. Essential is independent and is not an IGEM-endorsed product.
What is free, and what needs a subscription?

What happens after I choose a package?
You create your email account, save your plan preference, and follow the company setup steps. Add your business and engineer details so new certificates can use them automatically. Registration saves your preference only. Review and confirm any subscription separately in Your account.
Can I keep a copy of my work?
Your free calculator account keeps saved results available to reopen. Calculator PDFs and report downloads are included in the all-inclusive Essential subscription. Editable workspace backups are separate from report downloads. Existing browser-only records still need their original-browser backups before migration; creating an account does not automatically recover them.
